Location: Chadwick Place, Long Ditton
Property Type: Four-bedroom modern terraced townhouse
Challenge: Poor Wi-Fi coverage throughout the home due to concrete floors and restrictions on external cabling

The Problem
This stylish four-bedroom townhouse in Chadwick Place had all the modern comforts—except reliable Wi-Fi. With concrete floors between each level and the Virgin router located at the front of the ground floor, the signal struggled to reach the rest of the house. Bedrooms, the kitchen, and upstairs home working spaces all suffered from weak or non-existent coverage.
To make things more complex, several restrictive covenants on the property meant external cabling wasn’t an option. The client required a discreet solution that wouldn’t compromise the appearance of their home or violate any property agreements.
Our Solution
After conducting a comprehensive radio frequency survey, we designed a custom installation that delivers strong, reliable Wi-Fi across all three floors, without any exposed cabling or external work.
- Discreet cabling with decorative skirting: We installed a wired backbone between key areas of the house using specially made decorative skirting boards, which allowed us to hide all cables neatly while maintaining the home’s modern aesthetic.
- TriFi units: We installed a series of enterprise-grade WiFi units, strategically positioned across floors to maximise coverage and minimise interference.
- Network optimisation: The system was fine-tuned to balance signal strength and coverage, ensuring smooth performance for streaming, video calls, smart home devices, and more.
The Result
The homeowners now enjoy fast, reliable Wi-Fi in every room—including upstairs bedrooms, kitchen, and the rear of the house where the signal was previously non-existent. The new setup supports home working, streaming, and smart devices with ease, and thanks to the custom decorative skirting, the installation is completely hidden in plain sight.
We’ve subsequently had several referrals to neighbours and look forward to working with them in due course.
