The Problem
This family home on Epsom Lane North—right opposite the world-famous Epsom Downs racecourse—was struggling to stay connected. With solid brick construction throughout, Wi-Fi signals struggled to travel from one room to the next, making it almost impossible to stream live sports.
Luckily, they could look out the window to catch some real racing action… but that didn’t help when it came to watching football or F1 on a Sunday afternoon. Buffering screens and dropouts were becoming a regular frustration for the whole household.
Our Solution
We conducted a comprehensive radio frequency survey of the property to understand the layout and identify Wi-Fi blackspots, then designed a robust, future-ready wireless network to deliver fast and stable coverage in every room.
- Cabling installation: Using existing routes and carefully planned cable runs, we created a wired backbone throughout the house to support devices without relying on signal-hungry and unreliable mesh systems.
- TriFi units: We installed a series of enterprise-grade WiFi units, strategically positioned across floors to maximise coverage and minimise interference, ensuring perfect performance in all areas.
- Network Configuration: We optimised channel selection, signal strength, and device handoff to ensure smooth roaming and consistently strong performance across the home.
The Result
The family now enjoys fast, reliable Wi-Fi in every corner of the house, with flawless live streaming of their favourite sports, whether they’re watching in the living room, kitchen, or even the garden. And while the view of Epsom Downs is still unbeatable, they no longer have to rely on it for entertainment.
